What is World Vision ACT:S ??

We are a network of young people committed to --

:     Exploring what our faith says about poverty and injustice;

:     Using creative activism to bring issues to life and change hearts on campus;

:     Using our voices to advocate our government leaders to help end poverty, injustice, and human suffering.

The biblical book of Acts is the inspiration and foundation for our campus activism.

We are the most connected, affluent, and sought-after generation to ever exist, yet we are still largely unconnected to the critical challenges of global poverty, injustice, and human suffering. We know these issues are real. We see them everywhere we look. But the more we see them on the screen, the more lifeless they become. We know our faith has something to say about poverty and injustice but don’t always see this message manifested in our churches or in our individual lives.

The book of Acts tells the story of how the early followers of Christ sought to follow Jesus’ calling to be his witnesses “to the ends of the earth” (Acts 1:8). We too are struggling to learn what it means to be a witness in a world of numbing abundance on one end and crippling poverty on the other. This network comes to life as we explore these questions in our own lives, share this message on our campuses and in our communities, and collectively use our voices and acts to tackle poverty, injustice, and human suffering.

Through this website and our bi-weekly e-mail updates, we explore faith and justice formation, creative activism campaigns, and ways to use our voices to take action on critical injustices such as AIDS, hunger, malaria, and child slavery.
